About the Artist...

Yaacov Agam, the leading contemporary master, has left an indelible imprint on the course of art history in the 20th century. With his creations of kinetic, constantly changing art, he has already become a legend in his own time.
The pioneer of the kinetic art movement, Agam made a sensational debut in Paris in 1953 with a one man exhibit dedicated to art in movement by integrating the fourth dimension of time as a factor in his art. Since then, he has been pursuing his creations of paintings and sculptures in a non-static form of art.
His works have been introduced all over the world. Major one man exhibitions of his work have been held at National Museum of Modern Art in Paris, the Tel Aviv Museum, the Guggenheim Museum in New York, etc. Museums in many major cities in the United States, such as the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the Hirshorn Museum of the Smithsonian Institution in Washington D.C. and the Palm Spring Desert Museum in California, house Agam's art in their permanent collections.
Agam is probably one of the most commissioned artists in the world today. His monumental works have been installed and grace many cities throughout the world. A few examples are:
In Paris:
- "The Agam Fountain" at Le Defense Quarter.
- "The Salon Agam" at the Elysee Palace in Paris
In Jerusalem:
- "The Hundred Gates", a large monumental sculpture at the Mansion of the
President of Israel.
In New York City:
- "3x3 Interplay", a huge sculpture, at the Juliard School of Music at the
Lincoln Center.
- "Wings of the Heart", a magnificent kinetic sculpture at the International
Arrivals Building of JFK Airport.
In Florida:
- "Villa Regina", a large sculptural tower in Miami.
- "The Fire and Water" sculpture fountain at the Tampa Convention Center.
