| Explanation of WOOD Finishes: |
Gloss- 15 coats of a polyurethane gloss.
Stains- Used to enhance and compliment the naturally beautiful grain of the
wood.
Matte- 10 coats of a satin polyurethane.
Natural- Oil which is hand-rubbed into the wood to bring out the natural beauty.
Ebonized- Several of RaGar gift items are ebonized... they place a black enamel
on the corners and perimeter of the lid.
Faux- Imitation
Variations: Variations in color and grain are normal. Each
box has it's own individual characteristics making it one of a kind. Variations
may also occur in dimensions of +/- 1/4".
All items are made to withstand daily wear and
tear, but like all precious items, proper care will extend their life span.
RaGar suggests avoiding extreme temperature, humidity or direct sunlight.
Also be aware that heat from lights can destroy even the finest of wood items
over time. Handle these keepsake boxes with care to prevent chipping or
damaging the finish.

| FAQ #1- I want my jewelry box finish to match a piece
of furniture I have. Are online colors accurate? |
Each jewelry box, even if stained with the same color stain, will have a
different color/shade intensity depending upon how the wood accepts the pigment
creating a truly unique piece. Grain will also vary.
The colors in the
pictures we show online will vary from the original item because they are only
scanned images of the company's printed catalog. Colors vary between
computer monitors and settings so you cannot rely upon the colors you see on
your monitor to determine actual colors.
| Why are RaGar products NOT returnable? |
RaGar products are offered to our
customers who are familiar with RaGar's luxury jewelry boxes and are searching
for a competitive price. Do not order a special order item that is not
returnable if you've never seen the product and don't know if you'll like it.
Instead, purchase from someone who accepts returns or shop locally. The items in
this collection ship to you directly from the
RaGar Company to ensure the box you receive will be in new condition. Because of this
arrangement, each product will be "factory fresh" and not one that another customer may have had for several weeks before deciding to
return it to our store.
As long as the item has not already shipped from the
RaGar Company by the time we make contact with them, the order may be cancelled. If it has shipped,
the order can no longer
be cancelled.
| When and how do RaGar items ship? |
In stock usually leave the East Coast location within 2-7 days. Note that orders placed
late Friday or over the weekend are usually placed with RaGar on the next business day-
usually Monday morning. If an item is temporarily out of stock, which does
happen especially during the Christmas season, we will contact you
immediately for your instructions. Orders are shipped via UPS GROUND
delivery service to contiguous USA street addresses. We do not ship RaGar boxes to APO
or FPO military addresses nor internationally.
| What if the RaGar item is delivered damaged or
with a manufacturer's defect? |
We are, of course, here to assist you. Just because we say an item is not
returnable does not mean you are stuck with a delivery damaged or defective
product... note that a defective product is extremely rare because each item is
meticulously inspected by RaGar prior to leaving the company. We require our
customers to unpack and carefully inspect their purchase immediately upon
delivery. (If this is a gift, you do not want to present the recipient with a
broken, damaged, or otherwise imperfect box so PLEASE carefully inspect your
order immediately upon delivery!) If there are any problems, you must
notify us within 24 hours of delivery.
