Definition: Opal Triplet
An stone that is assembled by layering a base material (often black), a
very thin layer of genuine Opal and a clear top layer of quartz or
glass. The top layer helps to magnify the opal beneath it.
The layers are epoxied together for form a more affordable version of an
opal. |
